So I finally upgraded to the new Blogger formats but I can’t figure out how to get back my old pretty khaki background (now dark blue) and the pretty purple sidebar (now medium blue). Any hints, tips or suggestions?

  1. I’ve got your back!

Go into layout or template (two doors to the same place) and click on fonts and colors. On the left side, there’s a list, and you scroll down to the item you want to change. On the right is a list of colors you can choose. Click on what you want changed, then click on the color you want, and presto! All done.

  2. I tried that but there’s not one for the main background or for the bottom sidebar. There’s only the post background and top sidebar. I’ll go look again. I tried to change it in the HTML code, but can’t find the string that controls those two things.

  3. Different templates have different color schemes and allow certain changes. Go into ‘template’ and click on the different options of each template to see the color schemes, then choose the one you like best. They should have your old one up there. It’s easy to manipulate and change it around–you can even adjust fonts and sizes. But, you look good in blue too. It really brings out your eyes 🙂

  4. It is rather flattering, now that Josi mentions it! 🙂

I admit, I’ve never tried to change the color on my bottom sidebar. (hanging head in shame)
