Her whole life, Alexia Garcia has been told that she looks just like pop star Kari Kingsley, and one day when Alexia’s photo filters through the Internet, she’s offered a job to be Kari’s double. This would seem like the opportunity of a lifetime, but Alexia’s mother has always warned her against celebrities.

Rebelliously, Alexia flies off to L.A. and gets immersed in a celebrity life. Not only does she have to get used to getting anything she wants, she romances the hottest lead singer on the charts, and finds out that her own father is a singing legend. Through it all, Alexia must stay true to herself, which is hard to do when you are pretending to be somebody else!

  1. I loved this story! Alexia is a brave, spunky girl who longs for the missing part of her heart. She sets out on a daring adventure that changes not only her life, but many others as well. I laughed out loud, remembered high school and first love, and shed a few tears. I loved the relationships Alexia had with each of the main characters and that her heart was always in the right place. I thought Grant was an exceptionally well rounded character with so much honesty, hope and trust. It gave me insight into a parent's love and the sacrifices they make for their children. It's a book with layer after layer of relationships that kept me giggling throughout!

  2. I can't wait to read this book of Janette's. Her stories are both touching and funny.
