It is the spring of 1850, and the Chandler family is quietly leaving England for a well-deserved vacation earned by family patriarch Henry Chandler, a clerk for the Cunard shipping line. This book was a bit too much for my taste. I REALLY LOVE Jerry Borrowman but the amount of loss was too much for me to enjoy it completely. I understand the honesty of the book but my taste in historical fiction is grand and I will continue to find his books and travel into them.
